5 best TV deals for Black Friday

ATLANTA (11 ALIVE) -- Black Friday deals on televisions will start on Thanksgiving, and include some of the lowest prices in history. Ultra High Definition Televisions (also knows as UHD TVs and 4K TVs) are selling for under $1,000. They deliver four times the detail as a 1080p Full HD television. Some of this year's deals are in limited quantity, but are selling significantly lower than in 2013.
5 most popular TV deals this year
1. Historically, the loss leaders designed to get you into stores on Black Friday are televisions and electronics. This year continues that trend. Mark LeCastro from DealNews.com said his favorite deal is Thursday at 5:00 pm at Best Buy. "Best Buy has a Panasonic 50 inch TV as an in store doorbuster for 200 dollars which is the best deal of the entire season," he said.
2. 4K TVs were in the $2,000 - $4,000 range just a few months ago. Best Buy has a Thursday 5:00 pm doorbuster: a 55 inch is $899.
3. Walmart has a 65 inch Vizio HDTV for $648 as a 6:00 pm Thursday doorbuster. Walmart says customers who are in stores at 6:00 pm will get the special and several other guaranteed products, either that night or by Christmas.
4. 60 inch TVs at are going for $488 at H.H. Gregg even earlier, at 4:00 on Thursday.
5. The least expensive TV deal is for a 40 inch at Target for $119. That doorbuster deal is for Thursday at 6:00.
Several of the stores say those television deals will be available in limited quantities, and they will not release information about how many they'll have in stock Thursday night.

Q&A: Who is watching my home webcam?

The UK data protection watchdog warns that thousands of insecure CCTV cameras and baby monitors are broadcasting their streams to the internet without the owners’ knowledgeCCTV Thousands of internet-connected CCTV cameras and baby monitors are streaming their video so that anyone can watch them online without their owners knowledge. Photograph: Alamy

Footage from hundreds of thousands of CCTV cameras and baby monitors is being live-streamed on the internet unbeknown to their owners, who think they are secure.
A Russian website published thousands of these streams so that people online can easily watch them and the people, places and even babies in them, the Information commissioner’s office has warned.

How is this possible?

A large number of the cameras being sold in the UK and elsewhere come secured with a default password that can be as simple as “password” or “12345” and is publicly known, often detailed in support documents.
Internet users can view these streams using a browser armed with the default password and watch people in their homes and businesses without their knowledge.

How big an issue is it?

The Russian site lists hundreds of thousands of cameras freely for view across scores of countries including the UK. The insecure webcam feeds can easily be found through Google and other search engines, as their streams are indexed just like any other webpage.
An estimated 350,000 internet connected surveillance cameras were sold in the UK alone, but it is unknown how many were left with weak or default passwords when set up by users.

How long has it been going on?

Unprotected internet-connected cameras have been viewable through Google searches and other websites for years, but this new site has only cropped up in the last month. It is likely other sites doing a similar job are available across the internet and within the dark net, which describes sites not indexed by search engines.

Which cameras are affected?

A variety of internet-connected cameras spanning CCTV cameras, home security cameras and baby monitors from a myriad of companies including Panasonic, Foscam, Linksys and others are affected.
Any camera that is openly connected to the internet, can be viewed through a browser from outside the home and has a weak or default password can be viewed without the owner’s knowledge.

Can people see my webcam?

Whether it’s a baby monitor with a camera or a CCTV camera, people can only see your webcam’s stream if you haven’t changed the password that the camera came with or if you are using a password that is weak or easy to guess. ‘Password’ for example.
Most internet-connected cameras broadcast their location along with a video stream. Browsing the Russian site or using Google to search for your camera could show whether others have been able to see it, narrowed by location.

What can I do to stop people viewing my webcam?

Because people are accessing these connected cameras via default or weak passwords, protecting your webcam for the casual viewer is as easy as changing your password to something strong.
Strong passwords should be as long as you can remember, combine a mixture of numbers, upper and lowercase letters and punctuation marks. Real words should not be used and the password should not be used for more than one service.
Remembering a 24 character randomly generated password is hard. Password managers such as 1Password or LastPass can help by remembering them for you and protecting them with one long password and two-factor authentication.

WALMART CLOSES $90 PLAYSTATION 4 PRICE-MATCHING LOOPHOLE

undefined
It was a deal too good to be true for long. Walmart says it has now closed a loophole that was letting some people buy $400 PlayStation 4 consoles for just $90.

The customers were taking advantage of Walmart's new price matching policy, Yahoo News reports. The retailer recently announced it would match prices on items found at Amazon.com.

"We're committed to providing low prices every day, on everything. So if you find a current lower online price from an online retailer on an identical, in-stock product, tell us and we'll match it," Walmart's policy states.

But here was the problem: Anyone with a registered selling account can create authentic-looking pages and list items "for sale" online.Several customers followed those instructions and posted unverified pictures of receipts showing Walmart price-matching those fake Amazon listings.

It did not take long for Walmart to take notice and closed the loophole. The retailer released a statement to CNBC saying stores will no longer honor prices from "marketplace vendors, third-party seller, auction sites or sites requiring memberships."

"We can't tolerate fraud or attempts to trick our cashiers," Walmart said in the statement. "This kind of activity is unfair to the millions of customers who count on us every day for honest value.View image on Twitter

Jennifer Lawrence: I'm scared every time I open my front door

jen lawrence 876.jpghunger games 876 trio.jpgJennifer Lawrence says she knew being a movie star would bring with it a certain loss of privacy. What she didn't know, she says, was the deep emotional and even physical toll it would take.
"I knew the paparazzi were going to be a reality in my life," the 24-year-old Oscar winner said in an interview Saturday. "But I didn't know that I would feel anxiety every time I open my front door, or that being chased by 10 men you don't know, or being surrounded, feels invasive and makes me feel scared and gets my adrenaline going every day."
Lawrence was recently in the news when private nude photos of her and other celebrities were hacked, then posted online. She took the forceful position then that the hacking was not a scandal but "a sex crime."
The actress spoke to the AP Saturday while promoting "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 1," the third installment of the blockbuster franchise that catapulted her to stardom.
"You can say, 'This (invasion of privacy) is part of my job and this is going to be a reality of my life,'" Lawrence said, "but what you don't expect is how your body and how your emotions are going to react to it."
And yet, she added with her typical candor, the general public isn't very sympathetic to such celebrity complaints: "Nobody wants to help us because it seems like, you know, 'Shut up, millionaires!'"
Sitting alongside her co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, Lawrence told the AP that although she adores her job, "There are some things that I couldn't really prepare for."
As an example, she described checking into a hotel and opening the window to discover "a team of paparazzi outside that are shooting up into my hotel room. And we can't ask them to move because they're on public property. And they can photograph me because I'm a public person or can chase me because I'm a public person."
"If these laws are going to be in place to protect the press and to protect the paparazzi and to protect the news," she said, "then new measures need to be made, because this is an entirely new phenomenon. This didn't exist 200 years ago.
"And my belief, and it's something I am going to work very hard on changing and I hope it changes before I die, is to make it illegal to buy, post or shop a photo that's been obtained illegally," she said. "I have photographers that jump my fence ... if somebody jumps my fence and takes a picture through my window of me naked, that's illegal, but the photos can still be everywhere (online) the next day, and that makes no sense!"
Lawrence told Vanity Fair not long after the hacking episode, in which the photos were posted on various websites, that even those who looked at the photos online were perpetuating what she called the sex crime.
Calls for more policing of the Internet have clashed with concerns that such actions could mute its role as a megaphone for exposing abuses in government and elsewhere.
A "safe harbor" clause in the 1998 Digital Millennium Copyright Act absolves websites of legal liability for most content posted on their services. The law, known as the DMCA, requires websites and other Internet service providers to remove a piece of content believed to be infringing on a copyright after being notified of a violation by the copyright owner.
Though some websites pulled the naked photos of Lawrence and others, it didn't happen quickly enough to prevent people from making their own copies on personal devices.
Lawrence's co-stars echoed her concerns.
"They say, well, this is part of it, you should have known — but you can't know. You don't know how hard it is to lose your anonymity until it's gone," noted Hutcherson, 22, who plays Peeta Mellark to Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen.
Added Hemsworth, 24, who plays Gale Hawthorne: "There's really no right reason for that (kind of thing) to be allowed."

Absolutely huge tumor removed from boy, 11

(NEWSER) – It took 25 medical professionals and 12 hours to remove a massive tumor from an 11-year-old Mexican boy who had traveled to the US for help.Reuters describes the growth on the neck, shoulder, and upper torso of Jose Antonio Ramirez Serrano's left side as football-sized: almost a foot long and 4 inches wide and deep. The operation took place Monday at the University of New Mexico Hospital and was "two years in the making," says Kristean Alcocer, a ministry coordinator for the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, which helped get Jose to the US. The AP reports that church members came upon the boy during a missionary visit to Ciudad Juarez in 2012 and learned his parents had hit a dead end in terms of getting medical help for Jose in Mexico.
A humanitarian visa was arranged for Jose, who KOAT reported was born with a golfball-sized growth, and he arrived in New Mexico in July of that year; he's been traveling back and forth to receive treatment since. Reuters describes lymphangiomas as rare lymphatic system "malformations." Though the tumor itself is benign, Jose's parents say its size led to eyesight complications, limited his movement on the left side, and grew into his trachea, which the El Paso Times reports hampered his breathing. The church has raised funds for the treatment, and Alcocer says his medical expenses have been covered. He'll be in the hospital for at least a month; in future surgeries, his shoulder bone will be rebuilt, and excess skin will be removed.

Hey Ariana Grade: This Out-There Indie Singer Thinks You’re Soulmates

Ariel Pink's got a thing for Ari, and their cutesy celeb couple portmanteau is almost too easy.
We all know Ariana Grande is currently dating Big Sean — they kissed on a haunted roller coaster, so it’s official!
But is the rapper really Grande’s perfect match? According to Ariel Pink, who released his excellent solo record Pom Pom this week, the answer is a resounding “Nahhh!”
So, which dude deserves Ariana’s cat-ear-accessorized heart? We’ll let Pink answer that question.
“I’m in love with Ariana Grande,” Pink told Vogue.com. “She’s got a very curious personality, I hear she loves Freddy Krueger and I love Freddy Krueger, which makes me feel like we’d be perfect for each other.”
Well, you do both also have glorious hair. And enjoy winking.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m 100% behind this potential love connection. And to celebrate what I imagine to be a future musical romance akin to Sonny & Cher, Captain & Tennille, and Jay & Beyonce (Ari & Ari, anyone?) I went ahead and imagined that some of the more romantic lyrics on Pom Pom were penned for Ariana (blithely ignoring of course, the fact that most of said lyrics are wholly tongue-in-cheek and/or immediately followed by sentiments that directly undercut that sentimentality. Because, you know, love). Oddly enough, they play out like a modern-day fairytale…
Check it — and also snap up Pom Pom post haste.

“If you want all this and more/ Put your number in my phone”tumblr_inline_mfklz62Zaw1r52ppg
This line — from, appropriately, the song “Put Your Number In My Phone” — pretty accurately reflects what Ari should do when she meets Ari. You want all that and more, lady — this dude can pull off spandex like a boss.
“One summer night/ I will call you up”
RightThereAri
And this lyric, of course, basically sums up what will happen next. It comes from the song “One Summer Night,” in case you were wondering. (Don’t blow her off like that chick from the taco truck in Silverlake, Ariel.)
“Waiting for my Alice in Wonderland/ To come along and knock upon my door”
Ariana-Grande-tapping-finger-on-face-GIF-Problem-music-video-1
Ariel is waiting, Ariana! Waiting for his Disney princess to hit him up after he calls her on that summer night (I know Alice wasn’t a princess, but let’s pretend for the sake of their relationship). This lyric comes from the song “Sexual Athletics” so, um, yeah… Moving on!
“The enchanted frog was waiting for his princess charming/ To come and kiss him on his frog lips/ And who’d he turn into?/ Me!”
tumblr_inline_mj1rwksPpU1qz4rgp
And it all ends, as the fairytales go, with a transformative kiss — as Pink so accurately demonstrates in “Exile on Frog Street.”
Dare we say it…

After reading this, you’ll never look at a banana in the same way again

534804_290728761059522_1459491702_n
This is interesting. After reading this, you’ll never look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas contain three natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world’s leading athletes.
But energy isn’t the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
DEPRESSION
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS:
Forget the pills – eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
ANEMIA
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
BLOOD PRESSURE:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit’s ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
BRAIN POWER
200 students at a Twickenham school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
CONSTIPATION
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
HANGOVERS
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
HEARTBURN
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
MORNING SICKNESS
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
MOSQUITO BITES:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
NERVES
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort foodlike chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
ULCERS
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chroniclercases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Many other cultures see bananas as a ‘cooling’ fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, ‘A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!’

What does 200 calories look like?

But sometimes it's hard to visualize three ounces of chicken or one cup of rice.

(FOXNews.com)
(FOX News ) If you've ever set weight-loss goals for yourself, you know that portion control is a huge factor in maintaining a healthy diet.
That's why Tim Diacon and Nic Mulvaney developed Calorific, an app that shows how much of a certain food a person would eat to equal 200 calories.
“Numbers are great to compare one thing to another but they are not very tangible in their own right,” said Diacon. “We thought it was really interesting to actually visualize what 200 calories looks like.”
For example, that blueberry muffin--200 calories would be about a half of muffin. Tomatoes? That's a heaping plate full.
Calorific tackles all your favorite foods.
In order to calculate the 200 calories, Mulvaney and Diacon used a combination of the information on the food labels and a few online resources to get the full scoop.
Check out our slideshow to see what some of your favorite food items look like in 200 calorie portions, or download Calorific for free to get the full experience for yourself

Male Founders Of San Francisco Biotech Startups Promise To Make Vaginas Smell Like Ripe Peaches

peaches 3
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Two men at a San Francisco biotech startup are on a quest to deliver “personal empowerment” for women in the form of fruity-smelling genitalia.
At a DEMO conference titled “New Tech Solving Big Problems” in San Jose Wednesday, the founders of the biotech startups Cambrian Genomics andPersonalized Probiotics outlined how women will be able to change the way their vaginas smell.
Austen Heinz and Gilad Gome said their probiotic supplement called Sweet Peach does more than just prevent yeast infections and other health problems caused by microorganisms.
“The idea is personal empowerment,” Heinz said in his presentation.  “All your smells are not human. They’re produced by the creatures that live on you.”
Gome added, “We think it’s a fundamental human right to not only know your code and the code of the things that live on you but also to rewrite that code and personalize it.”
The biohacking duo is raising money for Sweet Peach on Tilt after being banned from Kickstarter, which Heinz told Inc. was because Kickstarter’s being run by “a bunch of hipsters from New York” who “don’t like supporting actual cool science.” Gome clarified saying Kickstarter has a ban on synthetic biology projects because they are seen as too controversial.
Heinz and Gome, who already raised more than $480,000 on Kickstarter for their Glowing Plantsproduct, are also working on a probiotic for dogs and cats that make feces smell like bananas.

Three markets -- Sacramento, Las Vegas and Minneapolis -- will present their cases to lure a Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion team to their cities Thursday in New York, a statement released Wednesday morning on the MLS website said.
Representatives from the selected cities will make presentations at the MLS headquarters in New York City. After Thursday's presentations, future expansion talks will be discussed at the MLS Board of Governors meeting on Dec. 6.
Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson took a red-eye flight to New York to meet up with the Sacramento delegation, as well as members of the Sacramento Republic FC ownership group. He said he's confident that the group will present the best case for Sacramento to lure the MLS.
"I'm really excited," Johnson said Wednesday evening. "I like our chances. I feel really good about our opportunity to tell our story."
Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson talks to News10's Sean Cunningham about his upcoming trip to New York City to meet with representatives of Major League Soccer (MLS). He talks about what he'll do to try to make Sacramento an MLS city. News10/KXTV
Johnson said Sacramento's biggest advantage were broken into what he calls "the three pillars," almost a direct blueprint of what he used to pitch the NBA to prevent a sale and relocation of the Sacramento Kings.
The first pillar, a passionate fan base and dedicated commitments from the corporate community. Second, a strong ownership group, led by Kevin Nagle, Warren Smith, Larry Kelley and consisting of multiple local investors who have part ownership in the Kings as well. Lastly, the third pillar is the potential downtown stadium to be built in the downtown railyards, should the MLS grant expansion to Sacramento.
With his success in keeping the Kings, one would expect Johnson to have a trick or two up his sleeve, or a bombshell the sport's governing board may not be expecting. Does he?
"We have a very singular focus - to bring MLS to Sacramento," Johnson said. "I think we're a community that has proven we can punch above our weight class, so we intend to do that [Thursday] as well."
New York City FC and Orlando City MLS teams will make their debut in 2015. Los Angeles and Atlanta MLS teams will launch in 2017.

Sony Has Dropped the Steve Jobs Movie With Michael Fassbender

Steve Jobs Unveils Apple iPhone At MacWorld Expo

Reasons for the studio's decision are not yet clear

An upcoming Steve Jobs biopic starring Michael Fassbender as the Apple co-founder has reportedly been dropped by Sony Pictures.
The reasons behind the move haven’t been confirmed. Unnamed sources told theHollywood Reporter that a prominent partner on the project had backed out; another anonymous source contradicted that claim. Either way, the film will now be offered to other studios, with Universal expressing interest according to theReporter.
Fassbender was not the original choice to play the lead role in the adaptation of Walter Isaacson’s biography of Jobs, but was approached after actor Christian Bale backed out in early November. The producers of the film reportedly offered Scarlett Johansson a part as well.

Apple Reportedly Making Beats Music a Pre-Installed iPhone App

Apple Said To Be In Talks To Purchase Beats Headphones Company

The change could come as soon as March

Apple is, unsurprisingly, planning to use the massive reach of the iPhone and iPad to put its newly acquired Beats Music streaming service in front of more people.
The company is planning to make Beats Music one of the pre-installed iOS apps in an upcoming software update, according to the Financial Times. The move could happen as soon as March.
Apple acquired Beats for its headphone and music streaming businesses for $3 billion earlier this year. While the headphones are a bona fide hit, Beats Music is thought to have a tiny user base—founder Jimmy Iovine pegged the number of subscribers at 250,000 in May, whereas rival Spotify has 50 million monthly active users, 12.5 million of whom pay for an ad-free experience.
Making Beats a default iOS app would instantly give it exposure to hundreds of millions of potential new users. But the strategy isn’t fool-proof—iTunes Radio is now a default offering in iOS, but it’s done little to upset Pandora as the king of Internet radio.

Wake up your brunch! Top this mushroom toast with an easy-to-make fried egg

Put an egg on it" isn't just a line from "Portlandia." An egg adds gooey richness to all sorts of dishes, and chefs and home cooks around the country have jumped on the egg-topper trend.
In this video, Karen Mordechai, the founder of the Brooklyn-based communal cooking center Sunday Suppers and the author of a new book also titled "Sunday Suppers," shows how to make mushroom toast topped with sunny side up eggs — she also lets us in on her trick for making the fried eggs without flipping them. The dish, which would be great for brunch, lunch or a simple supper, comes together in just a few minutes but looks impressive enough to serve to company.
Mushroom toast with soft-cooked eggs
Serves 4
Inspired by a recent foraging trip in the woods, this toast is a beautiful assembly of flavors. You can certainly experiment with the varieties of mushrooms available.
  • 4 thick slices country bread
  • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for the bread
  • 1 clove garlic, cut in half or smashed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 6 cups assorted wild mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 4 large organic eggs
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons crème fraîche
Mushroom Toast with Soft-Cooked Eggs from Sunday Suppers
Karen Mordechai
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Brush the bread slices with olive oil and transfer them to a baking sheet. Toast the bread in the oven, flipping the slices over once, until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Rub the garlic clove over the toast.
Heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil and the butter in a large cast-iron or nonstick skillet. Add the mushrooms, sea salt, and rosemary sprig, and sauté for about 5 minutes, until the mushrooms have softened. Remove from the heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the mushrooms. Remove the sprig of rosemary.

Meanwhile, heat the remaining 4 tablespoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over low heat. Crack each egg individually into a small bowl and then pour the egg into the skillet, being careful not to break the yolk. Cover and cook for a few minutes, until the whites have cooked but the yolks are still a bit runny. Season with salt and pepper.
To assemble the toast, spread 1 tablespoon of the crème fraîche over each slice, followed by about 2 tablespoons of the cooked mushrooms, and finally a fried egg. Enjoy.

Sensational stuffing: 5 easy new recipes for this essential Thanksgiving side

Bread cubes for stuffing
Families have been known to battle about stuffing. Some prefer to keep it straightforward, with bread and herbs, butter and broth. Others like adding everything from oysters to sausage to dried cranberries. Then, there’s the other argument: Should the stuffing actually be stuffed inside the bird or should it be baked separately as a flavorful starchy side? (We vote for cooking it outside the bird: Not only does it form a more delicious crust in the pan but you can be sure it’s safe to serve, with no lingering bacteria from potentially under-cooked turkey.)
A classic white bread stuffing is always delicious and you’ll find a sensational version of that here. But if you’re on a paleo, gluten-free or a vegan diet or you don’t have oven space and want to use your slow cooker — or if you just want to mix things up — try one of the other stellar recipes here. They’re so good that one of them might become a new family tradition.
Slow cooker stuffing
No. 2 Pencil
Slow cooker stuffing: Save space in the oven and make this sausage-and-apple-studded bread stuffing in your slow cooker. For this recipe, store-bought dried bread cubes aren’t just a handy shortcut — they’re required, as they hold up best in the cooker’s gentle heat.
Pancetta and Sage Stuffing Muffins
A Cozy Kitchen
Pancetta and sage stuffing muffins: Does everyone at your table fight for the crispy edges of stuffing? Here is your solution: Stuffing muffins (stuffins?). If you can’t find pancetta, you can substitute bacon, which will give the stuffing a smokier flavor.
Classic herb stuffing
The Hungry Housewife
Herb stuffing: White bread cubes? Check. Lots of fresh herbs? Check. A stick of butter? You got it. If you’re a traditionalist who prefers that the stuffing doesn’t overshadow the turkey, this is the stuffing for you. It tastes like the stuffing of your childhood, only better.
Herbed wild rice and quinoa stuffing
