Solange Knowles is off the market, folks: the musician and fashion-forward star has made it official with her longtime beau Alan Ferguson during an intimate ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday.
According to E! News, it was an all-white affair, with even guests like Solange’s sister, Beyoncé, dressed in the wedded color (and yes, Jay Z and Blue Ivy wore the hue, too).As is the case for most things in New Orleans, the festivities took over the whole weekend, with friends and family gathering on Friday night at the Indywood Cinema Theater, where guests watched the Diana Ross film “Mahogany” and no doubt shared some time with the wife-and-husband-to-be.
To add to the aww!-ness of the whole affair, Solange’s son from her first marriage, Julez, reportedly played a big part in the big day itself. Ferguson has played a big role in Julez’s life, as he and Solange have been together for over five years.
Though Solange may be the most notable name in their relationship, Ferguson is far from a slouch in his own right, having directed music videos for Beyoncé, Jay Z, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes, and Nelly Furtado during his equally as impressive career. So basically, what we’re saying is: this talented twosome clearly deserves one another.
Congratulations again to the happy couple! Here’s hoping no one had one too many Hurricanes during the after-party.
