Don’t have 30 minutes? This workout gets it done in 10!

Let's face it, sometimes we just don't have time for a 30-minute workout. Life can get busy, and that's OK! But even if you only have 10 minutes to be active, you can still get a worthwhile and efficient workout.
I love this circuit for getting the most out of 10 minutes because the fast-paced moves really bring your heart rate up, burning calories while improving cardiovascular health, building strength and toning muscles. And the best part? You can do it right at home! No need to spend more time traveling back and forth to the gym.
Here's how it works: There are four moves: jumping jacks, hop-hop touches, pikes and punch-outs. The workout is organized like a pyramid, starting and ending with 10 jumping jacks, and peaking with 40 pikes and 40 side punch-outs. The full breakdown is like this:
  • 10 jumping jacks//10 hop-hop touches
  • 20 jumping jacks//20 hop-hop touches
  • 30 pikes//30 side punch-outs (with 3 lb weights or water bottles)
  • 40 pikes//40 side punch-outs (with 3 lb weights or water bottles)
  • 40 pikes//40 side punch-outs (with 3 lb weights or water bottles)
  • 30 pikes//30 side punch-outs (with 3 lb weights or water bottles)
  • 20 jumping jacks//20 hop-hop touches
  • 10 jumping jacks//10 hop-hop touches
Here's some gifs to break down just how to do each move:
