FORT COLLINS – Brandi Morrison, apparently, doesn't know how good she looks in a bikini. The mom of three talks about her post-baby body with tears in her eyes, thinking about the stretch marks and loose skin that came with carrying her three sons.
"If anybody makes fun of you, it's just sickening," she says through her tears. "Because you made life."
Morrison says she was nervous and flattered at the same time when she was selected to be in a calendar of moms from across the country who've made fitness a big part of their lives.
The Fit Moms Calendar is a product of the No Excuse Mom group, active in the U.S. and around the world. The group is funded by a nonprofit and gained lots of attention in 2013 when its founder, Maria Kang, started a stir with a Facebook post. It featured a photo of her surrounded by her three young children, wearing a belly-baring exercise outfit that showed off her flat stomach with a question written on the photo: What's your excuse?

One of the group leaders for the Northern Colorado No Excuse Mom group says the post was misunderstood.
"I think people weren't really sure what to think of her or the group that she was creating: No excuse moms," said Rachel Pastor, who is also a personal trainer.
Instead, she says the post was meant to let moms know that they can get help eliminating all of their excuses, including trying to figure out what to do with their kids while they exercise. The groups let moms bring their kids for the class. They even create exercise centered around holding children, to double as weight resistance.
"And they can come and enjoy all the benefits of working out and creating that healthy environment in their home with no excuses," said Pastor.
She says moms who can't make it to the gym can still find a way to achieve their fitness goals.
"YouTube videos, those are free. You can pull those up on your computer and you can do a workout altogether," said Pastor, who wakes up early in the morning to do her exercise before her family wakes up. "If you're a working mom, [you can wait] until everybody else goes to sleep. Or involving the family in the workout."
Morrison gained 65 pounds with each of her three pregnancies. She joined the No Excuse Mom group for the workout and the support. Through exercise and clean eating, she's lost the weight and gained a new perspective on her post-baby body.
"I have abs underneath that [loose] skin," she said. "And to me, that's strong."
Morrison's peers chose her and 23 other women to be a part of the No Excuse Mom Fit Moms Calendar. It features real transformations and no Photoshopping.
"You'll see extra skin or stretch marks. It's all over my butt and everything. Whatever! We show us so other moms don't look at magazines of all the Photoshopping and say 'I can't look like that,'" she said. "You don't have to look like that because it's not real anyway."
